Eminence Award (Eminent Person)

CIDA Award to a professional who has made an outstanding contribution and dedication to the Construction Industry.

This Award is presented to reward and recognize individuals who have made an eminent contribution & commitment to construction sector and knowledge sharing with other practicing professionals and new entrants to the industry.

Nominations are invited from

1. Relevant professional institutions
2. Individuals proposed by a relevant professional supported by at least 5 members who are corporate members & endorsed by the relevant Institute
3. Selected by a CIDA committee specially appointed by the Board of Management of CIDA

Eligibility

• The Award is to be given to citizen of Sri Lanka.
• The Award is a life time achievement award to be given to eminent persons who have made outstanding contribution to the construction industry.
• There is no age bar
• Minimum of 15 years of contribution to the domestic construction industry in Sri Lanka is essential to be eligible for this award.

Procedure for Application / Nomination

• Nomination should be sent in the prescribed application / nomination form (attached)
• Application / nomination accompanied with a brief resume of his / her contribution should be sent to Director (Development) – CIDA (Please refer to the submission format)
• Three copies of application / nomination form are required to be submitted in a acceptable manner
• Relevant documentary evidence to be attached
• Application / nomination received after the due date will not be considered

Selection Procedure

• Selection of the Awardee will be made by a committee of eminent experts constituted by CIDA
• The Selection Committee will critically examine the information provided in the application / nomination form including the significant contributions made and publications brought out by the candidate
• The recommendations of the Selection Committee will be final and binding
• The selection & recommendation made by the Committee will be deemed final and no protest or queries against the selection shall be accepted by CIDA.
• Only one award will be presented per year
