Ensure end user satisfaction by increasing the quality, safety/reliability and affordability of the divisional services by benchmarking with the international best standards and practices.

Mission
Within the corporate mission of CIDA undertake upliftment of knowledge levels of construction industry stakeholders by establishing regulations, recommending best practices, reducing construction cost and time, optimizing use of resources to reduce wastage, minimize environmental degradation and improve efficiency of construction practices and related supply chains.

Standards section

Preparing and publishing and revising Technical Specifications & Standard Bidding Documents and Guidelines
Coordinating with relevant agencies for Setting Standards
Preparation of National Codes for Buildings & Highways
Representations in sartorial committees, councils of state organizations engaged in industry matters
Interpretations on application of CIDA published materials.

Research section

Liaising with relevant bodies and developing / revising standards in par with technological advancements.
Establishing a technology incubator / facilitator and liaise with Research Institutes in identifying priorities.
Conducting awareness & information dissemination workshops/ seminars on Technology.
Publishing Technical Journals
Organizing national forums for R & D work
Organizing national awards for R & D and Innovations (concepts& products)
Conducting research work on construction materials, alternatives for materials construction processes and methods related to building and civil engineering
infrastructure construction projects.
