EMS division provides services to the construction industry in the fields of construction equipment regulation, monitoring, capacity building and consultation services in construction equipment. This division comprises three sub divisions Industry Support, Construction Equipment Training and Construction Equipment Management.
The functions of this sub division are to prepare and maintain the construction equipment data base, provide consultancy services of equipment handling, prepare and maintain the data base of the construction equipment Tradesmen and preparing annual bulleting with the information of the equipment updates. This sub division commences the activities for directing the construction mechanization in the local construction industry towards the efficient, effective and productive handling of the construction equipment at projects and standardization of the construction equipment Tradesmen.
This sub division provides services in capacity building and development of construction equipment operator training standards. It also conducts training programmes at Operator Training College (OTC), related to construction equipment operation, Maintenance, Plant Management and E & M services for personnel required by the industry. It undertakes hire the machinery and handles small earth work projects to carry out on-site training at the same time for the benefit of client organizations.
This sub division provides services in capacity building in Construction Equipment Management, repair and maintenance. It develops CE mechanic training standards. While handling the projects of repair and maintenance services of construction equipment to the industry, this sub division maintains model workshop at Construction Equipment Training Centre (CETRAC) which, include occupational safety standards.
