Construction Industry Development Authority (CIDA), legal successor to ICTAD, as the regulatory authority of the construction industry is mandated to maintain a Register of Adjudicators to settle disputes relating to a contract for construction works as per the Section No. 52 (1) of Construction Industry Development Act, No. 33 of 2014. The regulation prescribing the Adjudication procedure and fees have been published in the Gazette No. 2113/ 63 dated 8th March 2019.
The regulation gazetted on 08.03.2019 spells out the process of regulation of adjudicators and qualifications required for such registration and the application form can be downloaded from below links.
Duly filled applications together with non-refundable processing fee and relevant information should be submitted to Director General, CIDA, “Savsiripaya”, 123, Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo 07 to be registered as an Adjudicator.
